What Are The Global Standard Pallet Sizes?
Pallet sizes vary according to region, industry, and the materials used in their production. Each region has its own standards for pallet dimensions, with the most widely recognized being those established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
ISO pallets are designed to fit standard shipping containers, helping to optimize global trade. Additionally, various non-standard pallet sizes are commonly utilized across different industries.

In the United States, pallets primarily follow the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) standard, accounting for about 30% of new wooden pallets produced in North America with a common size of 48 x 40 inches (1219x1016mm), suitable for consumer goods. Two other widely used sizes are 42 x 42 inches (1067x1067mm) and 48 x 48 inches (1219x1219mm).

The most common standard pallet size is the ISO EUR pallet or Euro pallet, which measures 47.24x31.5 inches (1200x800mm). It is widely used in Europe and South Africa, thanks to its ability to optimize space in standard containers.
In addition, there is another type called Industrial Pallet (EUR 2), size 1000 x 1200 mm, commonly used in the UK, Europe, Asia, and in international trade.

The standard pallet size in Australia is 46 x 46 inches (1165 mm x 1165 mm). Standard size in Asia
For Asia, there are two ISO approved Pallet sizes which are 43.3x43.3 inches (1100x1100mm) and 47.24x39.37 inches (1200x1000mm).
However, some people consider the 47.24x39.37 inches (1200x1000mm) pallet size to be a better choice for shipping goods to Europe or North America, as this size is easier to integrate into the shipping systems of these regions.
